TITLE I Supplemental Education Services

Subcontractor l 2002 – Present

Supported Title 1 Supplemental Education Services (SES) to schools in Wisconsin, Virginia, Missouri, and Texas to provide literacy and numeracy support to under performing schools as subcontractor to Nonpublic Education System Inc, (NESI), now owned by Catapult.

USMC Lifelong Learning

Subcontractor l 2001 – 2004

Serrato worked with the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Lifelong Learning Voluntary Education program as a subcontractor to Native American Management Services (NAMS) to provide support for the USMC Lifelong Learning contract. During the subcontracting opportunity, Serrato provided non-personal services, technical assistance and program expertise in support of the USMC Lifelong Learning Programs at the headquarter level. Serrato staffed positions that provided the following services: Veteran’s Education, Tuition Assistance (TA), Sailor Marine American Council on Education Registry Transcript (SMART), Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES), library, Testing and Service-members Opportunity Colleges Marine Corps (SOCMAR) programs.

Virginia Western Community College (VWCC)

Subcontractor l 2011 – 2012

Serrato provided support to help college start CDL program at Virginia Western Community College. The program became successful because Serrato Corp developed relationships with the large FedEx and UPS Distribution centers in Roanoke, Virginia, that led to hiring qualified instructors who were retired from the two large shipping industries. Job placement was very impressive at 98 percent among the 90 students trained. Serrato Corp established employment opportunity pathways with Schneider, Swift, Covenant Transport, CRST, USA Truck and Werner.

FORSCOM Military Language Training

Subcontractor l 2007 – 2014

Serrato supported as a Prime and subcontractor in Military Language at Defense Language Institute (DLI) and FORSCOM at several military Army installations to tailor training methodology and resources used to meet the evolving requirements of its Military Language Training Program. Serrato provided intensive language instruction, leading courses five (5) days per week, with six (6) hours of daily classroom work for participating language learners. Principal activities included: In the seven years Serrato supported military language learning requirements in the following languages: Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Farsi, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Swahili.
